Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori

WALT read, write and say māori words and sentences.

We have been learning our kupu o te ra which is a word everyday. One of the things we did were wheku masks which were so many different colors. Another thing we did was whare whare kemu and it helped us to learn more maori words. The maori word for fruit is hua rakau. My pukapuka was about an aporo named Apo. Also in my book I wrote ko wai ahau? Ko aporo ahau. That means, who are you? I am an apple. We learnt words like:

  • Pouri sad
  • Hianga cheeky
  • Punana banana
  • Maia confident
  • Pene pen
