2. Peter Burling was the youngest helmsman NZ has ever had. He set a goal when he was 11 to race in the America's Cup when he grew up. I am setting myself a goal for 'My Future Self'. WALT set goals for our future self.

The Great Reading Adventure

 We are learning to write a moment in time about our class assembly, 'The Great Reading Adventure'.

We had finally arrived at our Assembly so I jumped in my costume and got ready for the show. When the music went on I felt really nervous and very shy. I was scared when I had to kneel down up the front of the assembly and then I went up. I saw ropes that hooked me. I had to wave my hands around and around Then I said what are you doing let me go and then I said stop stop I will go more slowly.

Tsunami Evacuation

 We wrote a recount about our evacuation experience. WALT add details to our writing and edit carefully.

First Draft

Last Friday we were typing out free writing Friday and then we heard an evacuation saying there might be a tsunami coming to crush us so we went up the hill. It was hard to walk up the hill and then we stopped for morning tea and then we went to the top of the hill and stopped for lunch and then the teacher said there is no tsunami so we went back when we got back I saw Dad so I got in the car and then we Drove back home!!!

Undersea Gardens

 WALT skim and scan for information to find out what is in an 'undersea garden.'

Tractor Trek

We wrote a recount about our Tractor Trek experience. WALT add details to our writing and edit carefully.

Last Friday lots of big tractors came to Paparore School . The tractors had people inside and they let us play in the tractors and then they were going to have a  talk about why they did bring the tractors. They  brought the tractors because they thought  they would make us really happy and I was happy about it too.
